How does Google decide who is best? It uses Backlinks!
A Backlink is super simple. It’s just a link from another website that points straight back to your website. Think of it like a vote.
When a big, popular, and trusted website—like a famous news site or a huge online store—puts a link on their page saying, “Go check out Max’s website, it’s the best!”—that is a backlink.
- Google sees this vote.
- Google says: “Wow! That big, popular website trusts Max’s website. If they trust it, we should trust it too!”
The more high-quality votes (backlinks) you get, the more trust you earn. This trust is called Authority.
The Golden Rule: Quality Over Quantity
